Focus and Sharpening
Patrick (who I finally got to meet in person last week) posted an interesting thing today. His post in interesting to me for a few reasons, mostly due to timeliness and one due to "stalking":
I've come to realize that I too had way too much information on my weblog. With a little digging it would be far too easy to find out my political views, lots of details about my wife, where I lived, or how I was feeling on certain days. All of that information is completely orthogonal to the purpose of this weblog and only puts me at risk ...As most of my friends know, I have a bit of a knack for getting information like Patrick mentions, but I usually don't care about how it could affect me in reversed situations. I don't even give a second thought about what I post most of the time. Most of you know that already though - I make a ton of spelling and grammar errors. But what he mentions in his blog is more privacy-related. Not private as in don't talk about the fact that my brother had a white poop (see previous post) but big-P privacy. The other point he brings up is keeping the blog focused on what it's intended them or point is. But as they say on IRC, ohnoez! Why oh no? Because it's obvious from my ramblings that I have no focus. This touches home for me because I've thought about this a lot, but not just for the blog. I honestly like
Nice Headline
I saw this headline in my RSS feeds and chuckled:
