Layer Cake - *
Layer Cake barely passed my 3DMT™. And it's near failure wasn't due to the actors in it- all of them are great (is Colm Meaney ever bad?). The story was pretty interesting, the style of the movie was good, and the acting great. So why am I killing it with only one asterisk? Because of buzz. I was repeatedly told how great this flick was, and well, you know what? It's good, but it's not great. It's decent, but it's not like a Scorsese type of film. So, I punish this flick with it's teasing poster of Sienna Miller who's more overhyped than this movie. Bah, maybe I should give it two stars. . .

finally, a movie review I agree with... One star for sure, almost a zero, except the idea of Sienna boobie kept me watching even though it was a total tease. I had never heard of Colm until Kenny told me who he was on the Unit, so that's an idea of his TRUE feelings about that show...
Anyways, confusing meandering plot.
Skip it and watch Alfie in High Def for much better Sienna...

Layer Cake is about 1000 times as good as The Unit. And neither one can touch Veronica Mars. . .
